Italian style armour. Armours like this were made by the Milanese master armourers between 1400 and 1500 and commissioned by nobles and captains throught Europe. The armour depicted is similar to the one worn by Roberto of Sanseverino, commander of the Venetian army during the war against the Hapsburgs for the control of the southern Tyrol and who died in battle in 1487. It is now held at Waffensammlungen museum in Wien.
