This sword is fashioned after the ornamental sword carried by Edward of Woodstock, Prince of Wales (later known as the “Black Prince”) and the eldest son of King Edward III. Though he never became king, he defined his legacy through his very long history of military leader ship, as well as his creation of the Order of the Garter, which still is the highest order of chivalry in Britain.

This sword is a stainless steel blade and carries Edwards coat of arm on the pommel as well as the phrase “HONNI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE,” or “Evil be to him who evil thinks,” which was the motto of the Order of the Garter.
