This blade is styled after the one favored by Spanish medieval hero Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar (known as El Cid), who fought in the civil wars between the kingdoms of Leon, Galicia, and Castilla. Considered the ideal for strength and power, El Cid led his men to many grand victories and became one of the greatest military leaders of his time, etched into history through song and poetry.
