Product Description
Called a Sugarloaf due to it’s similarities with how sugar was sold (in loaves) during 13th and 14th centuries, this helmet was a later version of the Great Helm. It is a much lighter and more stream-lined model and was often used by warriors through the Crusades, while it’s domed top did a better job of deflecting blows than the flat-topped helms. The brass cross across the front is a nod to these Crusaders and their holy war in the name of Christianity.
This helmet is 18 gauge steel with brass fittings. It does not come with a stand.
