First appearing around the 15th century in Spain, the rapier was seen as a nobleman’s sword and was often carried around as a status symbol and an integral party of a gentleman’s schooling. Thinner and more intricate than its arming sword predecessors, this sword was the ideal weapon for thrusting rather than slashing, with only the last few inches of the blade sharpened.

This is a stainless steel blade with a forged steel guard and a wire-bound handle. This blade also comes with a leather scabbard.
