Product Description
Also known as the Ruling Ring or Isildur’s Bane, the One Ring was forged by Sauron in the fire of Orodruin. Sauron did so in order to expand his power and take control of the Rings of Power, forged by Celebrimbor. By putting a large piece of his soul into the ring, Sauron was able to exert control over the other rings, though the elves were able to avoid this by moving their rings quickly. However, Sauron also gave nine rings to men, ultimately turning them into the Nazgul.
Despite his best efforts to rule all men and elves, the Ring was eventually cut from Sauron’s finger by Isildur in the Siege of Barad-dur, stealing most of Sauron’s power with it, before it was then lost. It eventually came into the hands of Smeagol who held onto it for many years before it was stolen by Bilbo Baggins. Though Bilbo believed the Ring’s old power to be invisibility, Gandalf eventually discovered its origin and encouraged him to pass it on to his nephew Frodo who lead the Fellowship of the Ring on a journey to destroy the ring in the fire of Mount Doom.
This ring is made from basic metal with brass plating and comes on a chain which is inscribed in Black Speech.
