Based on a targe captured at the Battle of Culloden, targes were a popular hide shield used by Scottish fighters, particularly during their ongoing fights and border skirmishes with the English.

This shield is handcrafted and made from tooled leather, a suede back, and brass fittings, and it has fittings for easing holding. This targe also comes with a spike that can be affixed to the front.
